Wow, that must have been tough. From the get go you can see that these are really responsible dog lovers. They knew that to begin with, the moment the dog came up to them the responsibility for his care and comfort was on their shoulders. Then going above and beyond to make sure that there was not someone out there looking for their lost love. But as life will have it, there will always be something that throws a wrench into the works. But being the responsible and caring people they are, these pawrents at least made sure this cute canine would have a safe place to stay at the shelter.

Holy smokes, that is one heck of a ride. And what a mess the shelter’s communication had made. Honestly, this is one of the million reasons that it is tough for us to trust in shelters. Sure, they are doing their best, they are working with what they have and doing us all a great service. But when it is the act of one simple phone call to update the hoomans who rescued the pup and see if they might still want him 2, 3, heck even 6 months after the pup was placed at the shelter is simply silly. Just think how much money this shelter could have saved with that one call that would have had this couple running to reunite with their doggo.
